, 95, passed away on Monday, November 18.
She was a loving wife to the late Joseph Spina, and the last surviving sibling of the Carpentier clan: Don, Jimmy, Connie, Bob, and Mike. Nettie, as everyone who knew her called her, grew up during the Depression in Union City and lived for many years with her beloved Joe in Maywood, and after his passing, in Rochelle Park, where she grew close to her Windsor Court neighbors, and was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Nettie loved cooking and baking and her family more than anything. She will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews for her easy laugh, her famous pies and rice pudding, and how she tripped up words and expressions but got the important stuff, like saying “I love you,” just right.
